Mena Alexa Suvari was born in 1979. She is an American fashion designer, model and actor. After a brief period as a fashion model, she quickly transitioned to acting when she appeared as guest actors on television shows such as Boy Meets World in the 1990s as well as High Incident. Her debut on film was the show Nowhere which was released in 1997. The actress made her way to important roles thanks to her performance on American Beauty for which she received nominations for the BAFTA Award and American Pie each of which garnered more attention. In the following years, she starred on screen in Loser (2000) with the American Pie co-star Jason Biggs and later played the main character in the comedy film Sugar & Spice (2001). She was nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Award in for 2005, as part of the Outstanding Ensemble. In 2008 she was cast in several films such as Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh as well as the adaptation film to The Garden of Eden.
